This followed a meeting held between Ghana’s Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Mrs. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare and Kenya’s Minister of East African Affairs, Commerce and Tourism, Mrs. Phyllis Kandie at the ongoing International Tourism Exchange (ITB, Berlin) Tourism Fair.

“It’s a great honour to work with Kenyan tourism stakeholders…We are ready to share our experience and we hope we’ll learn a lot from you as we try to find ways to develop our hotel and Catering school (HOTTCATT) in Ghana,” noted Mrs Ofosu-Adjare, Ghana’s Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts.

She added that Kenya has a rich tapestry of experience in the field of tourism and hospitality, human capacity development and therefore collaborating with them will only help strengthen and shape up Ghana’s hospitality sub industry.

On her part, Kenya’s Minister of East African Affairs, Commerce and Tourism, Mrs. Phyllis Kandie was happy about the collaboration of the two countries to share knowledge on their strengths to develop the tourism industry of the countries.

She added that one area Kenya is looking forward to enhancing through the partnership is its cultural tourism. She believed Ghana was very strong in that field of tourism and was leading a team from her Ministry to Ghana to understudy Ghana’s model.
