Last year, SCTA, through “Takamul” had arranged more than 8,000 direct jobs in addition to tens of thousands of temporary job opportunities during seasonal events and activities. SCTA is also working in a productive partnership with the Ministry of Labor, Human Resources Fund, for providing 10,000 jobs to Saudi nationals in the furnished flats. Also, during the events of the Saudi Travel and Tourism Investment Market 2010 (STTIM), SCTA received more than 4,000 employment requests in the accommodation sector and 335 requests to join the tourism and travel sector throughout the Kingdom.

HRH added that SCTA, in the field of training and education, created 26 specialized educational facilities – colleges, institutions, and tourism departments – across the Kingdom, besides concluding a number of agreements with national universities, the last of which was signed with Hail University. SCTA’s efforts in this respect included establishment of a Heritage Seat at King Saud University, as well as a specialized seat of tourism at King Saud University.
